Colored necklace! Yay!

This is an old image that I took of Ryan (when he still had his Gotee) and now that I know more about photoshop, I wanted to add color in it some how. The original image was taken in black and white with my digital camera. So I had to come up with the colors all on my own lol. And yes that is really the color of his necklace, I am still not sure how I managed to get those colors to come out like how they look in real life lol. >_< I just chose colors off of the color scroller thingy (can’t remember what it is really called) until I got them all right. And this was all done from memory, I don’t have a colored image of him wearing his necklace, or at least one where I can see it. so yeah. Yay for color! ^-^

Yana, my pretty little girl

Ok .Ok. I know this isn’t a Photoshop piece, I did it in Painter X, but I wanted to see what you guys thought. And also to show you some of the realistic paint jobs you can do in Painter. So yep. You can get some pretty amazing realistic paint strokes!!

So this image I did as a tribute to Loki’s mom who passed away a year ago. Her name was Yana and she was such a sweet-Heart! ♥ she loved to give kisses and was an expert at begging for food if she saw that you had something that looked tasty lol. Her favorite foods were Rice Crispies, cheese, Eggs, and ocasionally fish =^-^= she was very spoiled lol. I wanted to make sure she was getting all of her vitamins, because the rat food you buy in stores doesn’t have all the stuff they need. So she got lots of extra stuff. She even loved grass, lettuce and dandelion flowers! lol

She was soo cute ♥ I loved her big dumbo ears! ♥♥♥♥

Series Project Post. Finally!

This one I wanted to go for a more happy up-beat piece, since the others were so dark (excluding the horrible painting of the girl >_<) and forboding. So I used some images of fire works and a photo of some Looooong grass to add to the splashy spiky background. It hen dre some circles to give it a more bubbly feel. I think I used three or four layer copies of my sister jumping to get that color splatter effect on her and to make her so dark. yep

This one I really wanted it to look like a creepy movie poster kind of thing. I think I managed to get that. I used two images of my sister in this. One where she is eating a peanut and the other she is running an playing on the beach. lol But I managed to make her look like she is running and screaming in fear lol Yay! I used several sunset scenes for this, along with an image of a bridge that my friend took on our way to asateque Island I use many layer opacities and lots of color burn, I relaly seem to like that layer effect lol. I also used a beach scen with a segul flying to get that sort of creepy bird in there

For this image I was really trying to go for an odd “I’m not sure what I’m really looking at” kind of piece. I used images of fireworks and gravel and lots of layering and layer effects like multiply, color burn and I also changed the opacity of the layers

Oh my god this one is sooo bad >_< I can’t believe I posted it here Ahhh! man my paintings on the computer have come along way. Well it helps to be painting with a wacom tablet now instead of a mouse lol.

For this image I was really tring to go for a creepy feel. I had this photo that I took of my sister a while ago and I really wanted to use it here I first masked her out and then made quite a few copies of her. I then added many layer effects and changed the opacity on them a lot. I then also used a beach scene with a lot of water to get the static kind of look to it. I also layered several times a photo of  some pebbles. I then mased out a picture of a pelican that I took while it was in flight and made several copies of it and then shrunk it down and put it on her leg lol.

Oh Man! Layer Tennis!! Oh the Suspense!!

This was the first round of layer tennis! Pam started us off with an awesome stock image of her two lovely twins! And she even masked them, which let me tell you made it a lot easier for me!! ^-^

This was the second round. I took out Lucian (sp?) and added lots of yummy cupcakes!! and a rainbow of course! ♥

Round 3! Lucian makes it back into the image with his super cape on! Pam did an awesome job with the blue plane thought bubble!!! ^-^ ♥

Round 4 and its heating up as Lucian takes off with his SUPER awesomely cool yellow Jet-pack of AWESOMENESS!!! AND his super Red bugg’n eye protectors!

Round 5! Whoa things are gett’n roudy as Lucians sister (I’m so sorry Pam I can’t remember your lovely daughter’s name >_< sooo sorry) is trying to reclaim her crown as money boxing champion! She challenges him, certain of her victory for the stars are on her side!

Oh Man! Round 6!!! Who will win!? The lights shine brightly as she puts up her red money gloves and prepairs herself to face he twin for the money bag crown!!

lol  Yeah, lol I tried to make a play by play account of what it looks like is going on in our tennis match here lol.

Wingless Harpie WIP

This is a wingless harpie that I have been working on, and is still in dire need of more work lol. So I thought that it might be kind of a cool concept to have a harpie who has lost her ability to fly and there for has to walk around awkwardly causing her bones and joints to become horribly misshapen. I also wanted to give her some unusual sets of eyes.

I still need to add in her torn wing stumps and make the back ground much more grimy and bog like. Her skin also need a lot of work. But over all I am happy with how this is turning out so far

I have nooo idea how many layers are on this sooo far, I haven’t coundted them yet lol

Warm-up Pieces! ‘An ♥Loki♥!

So this is the tribute that I did for my little man Loki Done on two layers. One for the line art,and one for the color.

This here is just a cute little flightless bird that I decided to paint lol I started with the idea that I wanted to make a green and black large flightless bird. Then I thought YELLOW! Yellow sounds good and of course pink toenails =^-^=

this also too was done only on two layers. I was practicing for my final lol trying to draw simply and not get caught up in all the detail. I think I managed to do that ^______^ ♥

*GASP* an eyeball!! This was a warm up painting I did to try and get myself motivated to really crack down and start working on my projects lol >_< (I know it doesn’t have an eyebrow lol I started to put one in but I just couldn’t get it right so I thought we’ll just go with the Whoopie Golburg no eyebrow style lol) This had several layers, I think around 4 or 5 layers I like how it came out considering it was a warm-up piece lol

Ok…so this well this was just more practice for drawing simply lol….. He looks cute right??lol kind of like a cross between a Gryphon and a Dragon. He needs some love. I mean look at those eyes lol. anyways lol um this had 2 layers as well ^-^

Mangrove edits!! :D

So yeah I couldn’t really decide which one I liked better between the two manipulations. SO I posted bot of them ♥

This is a manip of the mangrove tree from last week I used a combination of a gravel image that I took and some clouds and then overlaid it (with many other copied layers) ontop of the tree to try and get an eearie otherworldly kind f feel. dunno. 

The next one I just really like the way the colors turned out in the sky and how it almost looks like I masked the tree into the image because it’s so sharp, but I didn’t lol

A self portrait I did for my Light studies class attempting to mimic the style of Francesca Woodman. I was rather happy with how it turned out Though The distance from the camera is a little farther away than Francesca took most of her pictures. This was taken with my Nikon FM2 camera using  black and white film, developed with black and white developing chemicals ONLY 

Water D’Jinni Serac

So This is a fan painting that I did of one of the water D’jinni’s off of one of my favorite games Golden Sun (copyrighted Camelot and Nintendo)

I did this all in Photoshop the tail and crab claw took the longest >_< lol

I made him a little more realistic than they made him in the game. Here he has some-what real feet a crab claw that could…maybe really work and I gave him a tentacle fora a tail because none of the D’Jinni’s from the game have arms, so this way he can be  Prehensile ^_____^

I used, I think 8 layers for this one, surprisingly I didn’t need that much. which probably means that I need to work on it some more lol

I think I am really starting to get the hang of painting in photoshop, which REALLY makes me happy ^_____^ see? HAPPY!! ♥
